A Romantic Barn Wedding At Blackstock Farm in East Sussex

Blackstock Farm Barn Wedding - Maxine and Matt recently had their wedding in a 400 year old converted barn at Blackstock Farm in East Sussex. This wedding was lovely to photograph and it even stopped raining long enough for us to get some photographs outside!

The Barn at Blackstock Farm in Hellingly is hidden away in the East Sussex countryside and is an ideal venue for a great wedding and amazing photos. The converted Barn is beautiful and full of rustic charm. As the guests watched the wedding ceremony I discreetly photographed the entire ceremony from the front of the barn clicking away as the couple read their vows, exchanged rings and finally said "I do" and kissed.  Argh "the kiss" such a wonderful image for a photographer to catch. It says everything in one simply romantic photo. However it can be tricky to capture and so I often offer some advice to the Groom before hand. "When you kiss, feel the passion, forget about who's watching and just think about your beautiful bride." Well Matt (The Groom) needed no encouragement as he grabbed, held and kissed Maxine in true Hollywood style (Very Gone With The Wind). Love it. As if by magic the rained stopped just after the ceremony so we headed outside into the wonderful grounds of the venue to get some group photographs. Luckily the Bride and Bridesmaids had their very own wedding wellies to wear, Maxine had thought of everything. The sky was full of moody rain filled black clouds so I worked quickly and managed to get the few group photos the couple wanted along with some lovely "Magazine Style" photos of the Bride and Groom before the rain started. In the end the clouds helped as they looked great in the photographs and added a little something special to the photos. As the day turned into night more guests arrived, the band started playing and Maxine and Matt had their first dance together as husband and wife surrounded by their family and friends. I very fun lovin, lovely couple and I wish them both a life full of love and happiness together.
